As a child, I spent long periods with my grandmother in the Abkhaz mountains. I was an endlessly curious five-year-old, and the area we lived was surrounded by ancient dolmens. The locals often spoke of them reverently, their stories rich with mysticism and wonder. These Bronze Age structures commanded deep respect - silent guardians of forgotten eras.
Looking back now, I believe the dolmens are far older than we think, part of a vast, interconnected megalithic system spanning the globe - from our mountains to places like Stonehenge.
The vivid impressions of those early years left a lasting mark on me. They shaped the way I see form, material, and time. A series of works has since emerged from that fascination - sculptures born from stone, memory, and mystery.
