In my youth, living by the sea, I often sailed a small yacht with a girl. One day, the sea wind caught a towel she held, pressing it gently against her body and revealing the rounded forms beneath. In that fleeting moment, the outline of what would one day become a sculpture was etched into my memory.
I truly believe that nothing in life passes without leaving a trace. This experience stayed with me, quietly shaping my creative vision. I’m often reminded of James Joyce’s A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man - a work that, to me, captures this sense of quiet transformation with remarkable precision.
